We are seeking a Part-time Pastor!

Part-Time Pastor Position Description
Edmonds Presbyterian Church
22600 96th Ave. W., Edmonds, WA 98020
425-776-4334
We are a caring community of faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. United in service, study and worship.
Committed, through intentional action, to reach others with the love of God in Christ.
We seek a part time, (15 hours per week) person to pastor and to lead an approximately 45-member congregation. The structure of the work schedule is negotiable but presumes 3 Sunday worship services per month. Pastoral duties include, preaching, leading worship and administration of the sacraments. The pastor will act as a moderator of Session meetings. The Session acknowledges it is not possible for a part- time pastor to attend all meetings and events, cover every part of the position to the fullest extent, nor meet everyone’s needs. To that extent, the pastor will need to actively manage their work schedule, with regular guidance from Session to set priorities for the work load.
While we have been unable to worship together in-person during COVID-19 restrictions, we continue to keep the heart of faith beating, maintain our church staff, and care for our community. This has required an adjustment to nearly every aspect of how we conduct worship, and has provided us with the opportunity to focus on our deepest needs, as well as shift our resources to where they are most necessary.
At the end of the year we will evaluate the position with the pastor and determine how we will move forward into the future.
