Sno-King Community Chorale Steve Cobb is a member of the choir here at Edmonds Presbyterian, but did you also know that he sings in the Sno-King Community Chorale? This month for Focus on Service, we want to highlight the Sno-King Chorale and the work of Steve within that organization. The Sno-King Community Chorale is a group of singers united to uplift the public spirit through inspired choral performances. It’s a non-audition, mixed voice, adult choir that serves Snohomish and King county residents. Steve joined the chorale five years ago. His neighbor heard him sing at another event and asked him to join. He met people through the chorale that worked and worshiped here at Edmonds Presbyterian. Kathy Miller was a fill in director and Brian Hodder was singing in the choir and he knew that his long time friend, Hawk, worshiped here too! Steve even became the President of the chorale through a transitional period. He says, “The chorale has given me opportunities that I wouldn’t have had before.” He has sung in Phantom, Fiddler on the Roof, and Carousel. He has met new friends and solidified strong relationships through this inclusive group that welcomes anyone to sing!If you want to get involved speak with our current choir members who are a part of the Chorale: Steve, Brian, Paulette, or Kim in the office. They invite you to attend their concert on December 14th or join the Chorale by going to sno-kingchorale.org |
