The congregation and Women’s Association worked together to sponsor a needy family for Christmas. Our family was a mother and two young girls. We gave them a $100 gift card for groceries, all the toys and clothes on the girls’ wish lists and an electric blanket, towels and bubble bath plus a $35 gift card for the mother.
The Christmas Joy Offering was the main mission focus for December. Our congregation gave $733 for this offering to support retired and present workers with urgent financial needs and to provide scholarships for students of color to attend Presbyterian-related schools.
