Our congregation is part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Synod of Alaska- Northwest, and Northwest Coast Presbytery. Each year we are assessed an amount per member (per capita) to support the operations of each of these governing bodies, including salaries, meeting expenses, and travel expenses. The 2019 per capita assessment is $49.45, and is divided in this way: NWC Presbytery ($40.00), Synod ($0.50), and General Assembly ($8.95). If you are able to pay for your per capita, that keeps this expense out of our general budget. Please put “per capita” in the memo line on your check, or place the amount in your per capita envelope when you send that in to the church. Thank-you!

Pastor Amy has accepted a very part-time (8-10 hr/week) position working with other churches in our presbytery as they seek renewal and revitalization. Studio refers to the individual nature of renewal in congregations – no two churches are the same, and so there’s a creative part to pursuing renewal. E3 refers to the presbytery mission statement to Engage Equip and Encourage congregations and their leaders. Her work with our congregation will always come first, but as a ¾ time pastor, she has some time to give to other work, including this position. You may read more about the position here: https://www.northwestcoast.org/employment-1/2017/12/18/studio-e3-catalyst-nwc-presbytery.

Free for commissioners of NWC Presbytery. $10 registration fee for guests and friends. We are blessed with two Presbyterian camps in the area that provide excellent summer programming. There are even family camps for campers of all ages. It’s a great introduction to camp, especially for families whose children are not old enough for a week of camp on their own. Brochures for both camps will be available soon on the back table in the Sanctuary, or you can find information online at Tall Timber Ranch (www.talltimber.org) or Sound View Camp (www.soundviewcamp.com). Camper-ships (scholarships) are available thanks to generous donations. Speak with Pastor Amy for more information.
![]() This coming year the amount we contribute toward the work of the denomination at the Presbytery, Synod and General Assembly level will total $49.23 per member. Per capita is one way our members and congregation annually support the work of the whole church as that church also supports us in our ministry in this place. Your separate contribution of this amount is appreciated, as it keeps this expense from impacting our spending plan for 2018. Please mark your contribution as “per capita.” ![]() The annual Presbytery VERGE event is happening in our neighborhood! This one day set of workshops is amazing.
