Soon Pastor Amy and the Session will receive surveys from the architect to help him learn what our requirements are in a newly remodeled building. Because of the work we have done in this Vision 2025 project, we have most of the information we will need. If you have any concerns that you did not raise in the previous surveys, please let Pastor Amy know so she can add those to the survey responses.
Starting March 7th, Corey Schlosser-Hall (our Presbytery Executive) and Dennis Chivers (architect) will meet with a few representatives from each set of stakeholders to confirm Dennis’s understanding of what we need/want in a new building. Our meeting with Dennis will follow our potluck on March 10th. Dennis is planning on attending our potluck and we will introduce him to all who are in attendance. He may even say a few words about the process moving forward.
After meetings have been held individually with each of the four stakeholders, a “charrette” meeting will be scheduled. Charrette is an architect term for “a meeting in which all stakeholders in a project attempt to resolve conflicts and map solutions.” Once that meeting concludes, our next contact with the architect will be to review preliminary plans. Yay! We are moving forward! Continue to hold our congregation and our partners in this remodel in your prayers.
