Come join us for a white-elephant celebration of Christmas on Wednesday December 20th at 6PM at the church. Bring a wrapped gift (worth no more than $5) to share and we’ll provide pizza, salad, and dessert. RSVPs requested.
Our History Day celebration on Sunday, November 12th was fantastic! We had over 90 people attend and rejoice in the faith-filled history of this congregation. If you would like to listen to the presentations, we have an audio file available online. We also have a link for the slide show that was shared. Please contact Pastor Amy or the Church Office and we will send you the links. Former Pastor, Bruce M., brought the quilt the Women’s Association made for him many years ago – what lovely work!
We have begun studying the history of the Reformation, using a study titled, “Reformation Roots.” Each lesson has a short video and questions for discussion. There are 12 lessons in the material, and we will spread them out over the fall and into 2018. The class meets following worship on November 5th, 19th, 26th, and December 3rd. After a long holiday break, we will resume the class in January. Thank you to all who are sharing in the leadership of this class.
Come join us on Friday, December 1st at 7PM for a Christmas card writing party. Bring your supplies and get your cards done with the help of hot cocoa, cider, Christmas music and good company. Or, if you don't do cards, bring your coloring supplies (or use ours) to color some holiday cheer. Bring a friend!
The annual bake sale will be on December 10th after worship. The proceeds from the sale of mouth-watering goodies will all go to help various agencies provide service to children, teens, and adults who need help with shelter, food, permanent housing, employment, counseling, and a chance to hear the message of salvation.
We have an amazing day planned:
· Worship at 10 -- including a "reunion choir"
· Potluck lunch
· Short presentations
· and dessert
Come join us as we gather to reflect on the early years through the present. This will be a good time to look back and celebrate the founding of our church, its history, and its ministry to the community. This time of celebration will be a time for nostalgia and fun, but also a time for serious reflection and spiritual discernment as we look to the future with our Vision – Worshiping God together in 2025.
Sunday, November 12, 2017 we will be Celebrating the History of Praising God Together at Edmonds Presbyterian Church 1961-2017. We will begin our morning with worship, including a “reunion” choir, followed by a potluck lunch and remembrances. We will give thanks for all that God has done and is doing through the life of this congregation. Look for opportunities to sign up online and in the Sunday bulletins beginning October 8th.
On Saturday, August 12th we will have another parking lot sale this summer! What a great excuse to clean out the garage… As we did last year, we will reserve you a parking lot stall when you donate $25 per reserved stall toward our local mission causes. Ministries that will benefit from the sale this year include: The Edmonds & Mountlake Terrace Food banks, Vision House (Shoreline), and the Puget Sound Christian Clinic’s dental clinic in Lynnwood. All the funds you raise from selling your yard sale goods are yours to do with as you wish. Last year we made over $200 for missions. Register online here: https://tinyurl.com/EPCyardsale
