“A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.” Psalm 37:16. Martin Luther stated about this verse that a “Christian does not store up treasure on earth; instead he has placed his treasure in Heaven into the lap of God…If we only have faith, then we would never lack anything at all. One person with a thousand dollars and an unbelieving heart will not do as well as somebody who trusts in God, even if this person only has a single dollar. Everything comes down to God’s blessing.”
For each of you in Edmonds Presbyterian Church, Stewardship gives thanks for your faith in God, generosity and joy in giving back to God. God knows your hearts and will bless us for your gifts.
