Secretary Ruth R reported that three $75 gift cards were given to the Christmas family along with other gift cards to total $600 for gifts and groceries. She also sent a Valentine gift of a card and candy to Emily S, (Margaret S granddaughter) who is attending College in Maryland.
Ruth has also ordered new booklets with a bible story to put in the Easter baskets we are making for the Neighbors In Need Food bank. They have requested 150 baskets this year so we are having to purchase everything needed for the Easter baskets. We plan to meet at the church to put the baskets together on Saturday, March 23 and hand them out at the food bank on March 26.
Kathy M states she has a friend who does estate sales who would like to help us have a Rummage sale at the church when the weather is warmer and more predictable. The friend is accomplished at evaluating and pricing items for sale.
Kathy also reported that it is imperative that if anyone from an infant to older age has a sudden loss of hearing they need to see a hearing specialist right away in order for their hearing to be restored.
Our next meeting will be at a local restaurant, place, date and time will be announced in church.
